  • It’s kind of a running joke at Kotaku that games journalist Jason Schreier wants his colleague Kirk Hamilton to play Suikoden II.
  • Awesome Games Done Quick 2017 was happening while we were recording this podcast. The weeklong charity speedrunning marathon ended up raising over $2.2 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. “Kill the animals” versus “Save the animals” is a popular donation incentive for the marathon. It refers to the decision of whether or not to rescue the creatures at the end of Super Metroid.
